Albion are under no pressure to sell star players.

But the door will not be closed to them progressing if the deal is right.

Albion’s deputy chairman and chief executive Paul Barber is aware of reports of interest in, most notably, Ben White and Yves Bissouma.

He has yet to receive any enquiries but accepts there is potential for that to change this summer.

Barber told The Argus: “I think when players are doing well, when they are progressing, when they are proving themselves at this level, you are always going to get speculation.

“There is always going to be potential interest from other clubs.

“As of now, no offers, nothing in to me.

“Again we are focussed now very much on finishing the job.

“We talk about being safe. We are not mathematically safe.

ALBION HOPE TO MARK TEN YEARS AT THE AMEX IN STYLE

“From our point of view we are very much focussed on Sunday. Wolves, another tough game.”

Head coach Graham Potter has said more than once the club should be prepared to move on a star player or two if the numbers add up.

Barber said: “There is no pressure at all on us to sell any of our best players.

“I have always said in the nine years I have been here the best players, the top players, will always want to play at the highest level they can.

“We would always want that to happen for the best players.

“Equally we are under no pressure whatsoever to sell any of our players.”
