Albion head coach Graham Potter felt Neal Maupay needs to ‘handle himself’ better after being sent off in their 2-1 defeat to Wolves.

The striker confronted referee Jonathan Moss and his assistants after the defeat and was rather angry.

But after saying a fair few words to Moss, the referee sent him off for dissent and he had to be restrained by Potter’s assistant Billy Reid.

The Argus:

That now means both him and Dunk will be unavailable for Albion's next game at home against West Ham.

But after the game Potter believes his top scorer needs to keep his emotions in check.

He said: “I don’t’ know what went, but Neal’s red card after the game is for something he said to the referee.

“He is frustrated, I don’t know what has been said, but it is frustration for him and he needs to handle that better, so that is disappointing for us.”
