Brighton-born jockey Ryan Moore rode Snowfall to a big win on day one of the Dante Festival at York this afternoon.
The 37-year-old beat 11/10 favourite Noon Star by three-quarters of a length in the Tattersalls Musidora Stakes.
The three-year-old, who is trained by Aidan O’Brien, was sent off an outside at 14/1 and provided the Irish trainer with first victory in the Tattersalls Musidora Stakes at York.
But O’Brien praised Moore for giving her a lovely ride.
He said: “We always thought the world of her last year, but things just didn’t work for her.
“On pedigree she was always going to be suited by a step up in trip, (and) Ryan gave her a lovely ride.
“It’s a beautiful pedigree, and we always thought a race like that would suit.
“Hopefully she goes on and has a good year.”
