Tony Bloom says he is delighted Albion’s emerging stars are attracting interest.

But only the right offer would prise them away.

Yves Bissouma and Ben White head the list of Seagulls prospects who are reported to be catching the eyes of top Premier League clubs.

Bloom has no problem with that – but does not expect many departures this summer.

Albion’s chairman said: “I don’t see it as a negative at all.

“The more big clubs that are interested in our players, the more we’re doing right, so I am delighted with that.

“We know that some of our best players aren’t going to be with us forever and, if the right offer comes along – and it has to be the right offer – and they want to leave, then they can go.

TEARS OF JOY FOR BEN WHITE AFTER ENGLAND CALL

“But I foresee the vast majority of our current squad being here at the beginning of next season.”

Bloom said Albion will be well-prepared for any departures.

He added: “I am in discussions with Dan Ashworth and Paul Winstanley a lot during the season, especially this year, that if we’ve got players leaving, then we’ve got back-up internally and we can go out into the transfer market.

“We’re always looking ahead, we’re always trying to scout the best young players and bring them into our squad, or loan them out. It’s a really important part of what we do.”

Bloom was unwilling to discuss any plan Albion might have to sign a striker.

But he added: “As Graham (Potter, head coach) has mentioned before, you can spend any sort of money on a striker and it doesn’t necessarily improve you as a team.

“You’ve got some top players in the Premier League who have scored less than ten goals this season.

“It’s how we are as a team and performance-wise, for the team, we have created so many opportunities so, in a different season, we might have scored more goals.”
