Ben Brown says his young Sussex side are giving their all as they find the Championship going tough.
Sussex went down by seven wickets at home to Northants today.
They showed promise at times across the four days, with Tom Haines making a century and Jamie Atkins bowling with pace and hostility.
But ultimately they suffered a fourth defeat in their last five matches.
Skipper Brown said: “We don’t hide behind being young.
“We are hugely frustrated to lose games of cricket and we certainly don’t want to get into the habit of losing.
“So, yes, it has been challenging and the games are coming week in and week out with no real time to think.
“There are definitely challenges there bit the sprit is excellent.
“I can’t ask for any more of the team in terms of effort and commitment.”
