Sussex are facing a big decision over Ollie Robinson after he was sent home by England.
The pace bowler is under ECB investigation after historic and offensive tweets came to light during his Test debut against New Zealand.
He has been omitted from the second Test.
Sussex have completed their first batch of LV= Insurance County Championship matches but could use Robinson in the forthcoming Vitality Blast T20.
Although not seen as a T20 specialist, he has performed well in the shortest format when required in recent seasons.
Robinson has a separate employment contract with Sussex so he is free to play, if selected, for the county during his international suspension.
It is understood Sussex, as of this morning, had yet to decide whether that will happen.
Sussex open their T20 campaign against Gloucestershire at Bristol on Friday and host Hampshire at Hove on Saturday.
