Bas Savage's agent today denied the former Albion striker has a move lined up to another club.
Savage's contract with the Seagulls expired at midnight.
He had turned down a new 18-month deal and chairman Dick Knight hinted he would be signing elsewhere immediately.
Savage's agent Kevin Horton revealed: "There is absolutely nothing lined up for Bas but nobody will believe me.
"He is out shopping today but he said he wants Brighton to stuff five goals past Bournemouth."
