Everton are the latest club to be linked with interest in Graham Potter.
But The Argus have been told in the last hour there is no truth in suggestions they have made an approach for his services.
The Albion boss is reportedly among names being discussed by Goodison Park chiefs as they seek a successor for Carlo Ancelotti.
Albion would be determined to keep hold of their head coach, who is two seasons into a long-term contract and has produced what chairman Tony Bloom considers to be the best football the club has ever played.
Some bookies currently have Potter as short as Evens to take over at Goodison in the notoriously volatile "next manager" markets.
But Albion are likely to be comfortable about the future of their head coach.
Everton had been linked with Nuno Espirito Santo but the former Wolves boss now seems headed to Crystal Palace.
