Davy Propper is expected to move on after four years with Albion.

The Holland midfielder is believed by multiple sources in his homeland to be close to a return to PSV.

There had been no confirmation, or otherwise, of that development closer to home last night.

But Propper appeared set to return to Eindhoven and the club he left when he joined the Seagulls in the summer of 2017.

The Argus reported in April that PSV would look to take him back this summer and a move appears to suit all parties.

Albion’s agenda for this transfer window includes clearing their wage bill of players who are not getting games and recouping fees where possible.

The departure of Propper, who is among those who will be keen for playing time, would be the first step along that road.

The move is expected this week with a fee in seven figures.

Propper signed a contract extension early last year, taking him through until the summer of 2023.

But he slipped out of Graham Potter’s plans last season and lost his international place as a result.
