Former Premier League and England footballer Bobby Zamora rolled back the years by scoring a wonder goal when guesting for a pal's team in Colchester.

The ex-Brighton and Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspur, Queens Park Rangers and Fulham striker starred in the seven-a-side match at PlayFootball, in Sheepen Road.

He scored with an unstoppable long-range effort and the strike, which stunned team-mates, opponents and spectators, was caught on camera.

It has since been picked up by the national media and gone viral.

Jakob Kelly filmed the goal and said: "As you can tell from my voice on the clip, I couldn't control or channel my emotions.

"It was just incredible and everyone was in awe.

"I’m a huge sport fan with a lot of passion for football and I support one of Bobby's old clubs, West Ham.

"The whole thing was like a dream come true. It was phenomenal."

Jakob, 21, was due to miss the game because of work but rushed along when he got wind of Zamora's appearance.

"I'm so pleased I made it, especially after seeing and filming that goal," said the sports coach, who works for Essex Professional Coaching and delivers sessions in Colchester schools.

"I play for a team called The Tips and Bobby was guesting for our opponents, FC Cooperativa.
