There will be a familiar face in the opposition dugout at The People's Pension Stadium as Crawley were handed a home draw in the Carabao Cup first round this afternoon.
Former Reds boss Steve Evans will return to West Sussex as his Gillingham side take on Crawley in the first round.
Evans spent just under five years in charge of the Reds and guided them to promotion to League Two after winning the Conference Premier in 2010/11.
In the same season, Evans took Crawley on their best run in the FA Cup reaching the fifth round before being beaten by Premier League giants Manchester United at Old Trafford 1-0.
The tie will take place on the week commencing the August 9.
