ALL of this year’s Wimbledon matches will be broadcast for free at Brighton Palace Pier, it has been confirmed.

In a tweet, the pier said that all of the games will be shown on the big screen at Horatio’s bar and garden.

The news comes after it was announced that the pier will not be showing England’s future matches at Euro 2020, due to planned private functions and events.

Both the semi-final against Denmark on Wednesday and the final on Sunday will not be broadcast, despite the venue being a popular place for fans of the Three Lions.

Anne Ackord, chief executive officer for Brighton Palace Pier, said that “hopefully there will be plenty of places that people can see them, or they can watch them from home.”

Tomorrow’s match between Spain and Italy - which could decide who England would play in the final - will also not be shown.

The decision leaves the city without a big screen for England’s first European semi-final in 25 years, and potentially their first ever final at a European championship.

However, many of Brighton and Hove’s bars and pubs will be showing the match, which kicks off at 8pm.
