CROWDS of football fans flooded Brighton’s West Street last night in celebration of England’s historic win against Denmark.

Hundreds marched down the road, cheering and singing “It’s coming home” as well as a musical tribute to England player Harry Maguire.

Cars stuck in traffic on the road honked their horns in joy at the result and high-fived the passing fans.

The crowd gathered at the bottom of the road where many continued drinking, overjoyed at the prospect of England’s first international final in 55 years.

Police soon arrived and created a cordon along the road, preventing fans from moving back up West Street - which initially attracted boos from the crowd.

Some fans even took to climbing a lamp post outside nightclub Pryzm, with police looking on and shaking their heads.

Drinks cans and smoke bombs were thrown into the air as the celebrations continued.

The jubilant atmosphere follow similar scenes last Saturday, following England’s 4-0 victory against Ukraine when fans gathered around cars, shaking them and banging on their roofs.

England defeated Denmark 2-1 in an incredibly tense match that went to extra time. They will now go on to play Italy on Sunday at Wembley.
