Brighton keeper Carl Rushworth has joined League Two side Walsall on a season-long loan.
The 20-year-old was a regular for Albion's Under-23's in between the sticks last season, making 21 appearances in all competitions and keeping four clean sheets in the process.
That form saw him named as the Seagulls Young Player of the Year.
The loan move will be Rushworth second's spell away from the club having spent the 2019/20 season at PitchingIn Isthmian Premier side, Worthing, where he put in some impressive performances.
He will now be hoping to put in some impressive displays for the Saddlers, who finished 11th in League Two last season.
Albion U23's head coach Andrew Crofts said: “This is an excellent opportunity for Carl to take his chance at an EFL club, having gained good experience both at Worthing and with our under-23s.
“He has had a good grounding here, had a great year last year and certainly impressed for the under-23s.
“This is an exciting move for Carl – and we look forward to seeing how he progresses over the season.”
