Kjell Scherpen has been enjoying some high level talks with a new Albion team-mate.
The 6ft 8in goalkeeper has signed from Ajax.
He becomes Albion’s tallest player – by one inch from defender Dan Burn.
The two were quickly introduced at the club’s training complex in Lancing.
Scherpen said: “I think I am a little bit taller but we met and we are the same height so we can talk on a good level!”
The 21-year-old is keen to get playing time in the coming season.
He said: “I hope to get some minutes. Playing Premier League is the main goal but it is going to be a challenge for me.
“Cup games, Premier League games. There are a lot of games they play in England so I hope I get some.”

Scherpen spoke to Albion's former Ajax defender Joel Veltman before making the big move.
He said: “We had a couple of chats and he said only good things, “He told me how the people are and what kind of football they play.
“For me it sounds pretty good.”
