Albion will follow Premier League advice as they hope to pack the Amex.

But signs are good for the new campaign as the nation enjoys Freedom Day today.

Tickets are on sale for the friendly at home to Getafe on Saturday, August 7 (7pm) with no reduced capacity measures in place.

Whether the attraction of last season’s 15th-placed side in LaLiga Santander, rather than the more glamorous opposition which was expected before Covid-related admin delays, tests capacity is open to question.

But Albion believe the long absence, plus the excitement of Euro 2020, has greatly whetted appetite among supporters to get back into the stands.

They are looking forward to celebrating the tenth anniversary of their arrival at the Amex.

Season tickets are on sale for both men’s and women’s teams.

But it remains to be seen how it all works in term of capacity at all venues, away fans and the need to offer vaccination or a recent negative Covid test.

An Albion spokesman said: “We still waiting to hear what those Premier League rules will look like and, obviously, we'll follow them.

“We are geared up for all eventualities and we'll certainly continue with digital ticketing because we've been using it for four matches now during the pandemic and it has worked very well.”
