Brighton winger Reda Khadra could find himself having a key role to play for Albion this season.

The 20-year-old winger started for the Seagulls in their goalless draw against Rangers and played 45 minutes before being taken off at Ibrox.

Khadra was one of the bright sparks for Albion in the match, along with the performances of summer signing Enock Mwepu and defender Leo Ostigard.

He has already made his Premier League debut coming off the bench in the Seagulls 1-0 defeat at The Etihad in January.

However, he then suffered an ankle injury which ruled him out of the rest of the season.

But with Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Jose Izquierdo having departed the club over the summer, Albion are short of wingers.

But could Khadra have a key role to play in the first-team this season?

Head coach Graham Potter told The Argus: “Well we will see.

“You can see his qualities, you can see what he brings. He can attack the back line, he has got things to work on as he is a young player.

“But he is someone we are looking to help to try and develop and we will choose the right path in terms of what that is. But clearly you can see what he brings.”

Khadra will be hoping to get some more game time for Albion in their friendly against Championship side Luton at Kenilworth Road tomorrow afternoon (3pm).
