Brighton's Solly March is aiming to get back to his best following his frustrating knee injury.

The 27-year-old made his first appearance in five months for Albion after playing 45 minutes in their goalless draw with Rangers at Ibrox last weekend.

March had been in fine form for the Seagulls prior to his knee injury.

He had played in 21 of their opening 22 Premier League games last season, before he hobbled off 67 minutes into their 1-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield in February (pictured above).

The wing-back then had to undergo knee surgery but after returning to training earlier this month, March now has his eyes on rediscovering the form he was in prior to his injury.

Speaking to the club's website, he said: “It was great to be back as it's been a tough time out. It was only 45 minutes [against Rangers], but I came through it unscathed and now I need to build on that and hopefully get to full fitness by the end of pre-season.

“It was the most frustrating injury as I thought I was in really good form, even though it wasn't as long out as the previous injury I had.

“The timing wasn’t great but when you’re playing well you want to keep playing for as long as possible. My aim is to get to that level again and improve on that.”
