Albion will kick off the new Barclays FA Women’s Super League season at the Amex.

Their fixture at home to West Ham United will take place on the big stage during the first Premier League international break of the season.

The Hammers will visit on Sunday, September 5 (2pm) with Albion keen to attract a big crowd.

They last played at the Amex in November 2019, when a crowd of 4,130 watched them beat Birmingham City 3-0.

Boss Hope Powell said: “Our first game of the season at the Amex is going to be a fantastic occasion and we’re really looking forward to it.

“It’s such a big season for the WSL with a new broadcast deal and the increased profile that will bring to the women’s game. Plus, of course, the Euros in England next summer as well.

“We have only had a couple of games at Crawley with supporters present in the last 18 months so to be able to have a big crowd in at the Amex for the first game of the new season will be brilliant.

“We look forward to welcoming them back and to seeing as many Albion fans there as possible to get behind the team and making it a memorable occasion for the club.”

Tickets will go on sale to season-ticket holders this Friday with general sale starting a day later.

All current 2021-22 WSL season-ticket holders will need to redeem a complimentary ticket.

Adult tickets are £5 and under-18s and over-65s £2.50. Two adults and two under-18s will be able to buy a family ticket for just £10.

Members of the 1901 Club and WSL season-ticket holders will also be able to purchase Lounge Access tickets in the Sun Harvest Lounge from Friday.

Admission to all areas will be subject to be anti-Covid measures which include the production of a Covid Pass or proof of a recent negative test.

Powell’s side will go into the new campaign on a high after finishing sixth last season, their best position in the WSL.
