Former Albion prospect Danny Cashman has joined Rochdale on loan after signing for Coventry City.
Cashman was let go by the Seagulls at the end of last season, despite a bright end to the under-23s’ campaign.
The 20-year-old from Crawley signed a three-year deal at Coventry and immediately followed in the footsteps of Robert Sanchez and Haydon Roberts by joining ‘Dale for the season.
Cashman said: “It’s something me and my agent thought would be a great project to be involved in.

“The club came down last year but hopefully we can be pushing for promotion this year.
“I sat down [with manager Robbie Stockdale] and had a chat about where he sees me playing and what I can bring to the team.
“Everything fits into how I want to be as a footballer and how I want to play."
Rochdale open their League Two season at Harrogate tomorrow.
