Brighton have found out who will be in charge of their Premier League opener against Burnley on Saturday.

David Coote will be the man in the middle at Turf Moor.

The Seagulls do not have the best record under him in the top flight.

The last time he took charge of Albion was in their 2-1 defeat to Southampton at the Amex on December 7, where he part of a controversial penalty decision.

Initially Coote had given a free kick for the foul on Kyle Walker-Peters by Solly March.

But Video official Peter Bankes over-ruled him by adjudging the offence happened inside the penalty area and gave a spot kick to the Saints, which Danny Ings scored.

You have to go back February 2019 for the last time Albion won a game Coote refereed which was a 2-1 win over Derby in the FA Cup fifth round at the Amex.
