Brighton are closing in on the signing of Senegalese international striker Abdallah Sima from Slavia Prague according to reports

The Reports suggest that he close to completing a move to the South Coast for around £7 million, before heading out on loan.

Slavia are looking to cash in on Sima due to financial reasons following their exit from the Champions League qualifying stages against Ferencvaros.

He had previously attracted interest from sides across Europe including West Ham.

The 20-year-old has shot to fame at Prague since joining from third tier side FC MAS Táborsko in March 2020.

In his debut season at the club he made 33 appearances and scored 16 goals and picked up six assists.

Four of those goals came in the Europa League, including one at the King Power Stadium in their victory over Leicester in the round of 32.

Slavia went on to reach the quarter-finals before being knocked out by Arsenal.

Sima also won silverware for Slavia as they completed a league and cup double last season.

He capped off an impressive debut season by winning his first cap for Senegal in March as he came off the bench in their goalless draw against Congo in an African Cup of Nations qualifier.

Four days later he was then handed his first start for his country playing 66 minutes in their 1-1 draw against Eswatini.

This season Sima has yet to find the back of net in his six appearances.
