Brighton head coach Graham Potter has given an injury update on Aaron Connolly, Solly March and the rest of his squad ahead of their trip to Brentford on Saturday (3pm).

March missed Albion’s 2-0 defeat to Everton prior to the international break due to a hamstring injury.

However, Potter was hopeful that he could return for their trip to the Brentford Community stadium.

Connolly was not involved in Republic of Ireland’s squad for their 1-1 draw with Serbia on Tuesday night due to an injury although the FAI did not reveal the area or extent of the injury.

But ahead of Albion’s first clash with Brentford since February 2017, Potter has given an update on the pair and the rest of his squad.

He said: "He had a slight problem with his Glute and the game with the Republic came around too soon. But he has recovered quite well, he trained lightly today but depending how he reacts and hopefully he will be involved at the weekend.

"He (Solly) is available for the squad whether he is ready to start is another thing but we will see how he goes again tomorrow.

"But he has recovered well, he'll be in the squad and then we will make a decision how about much time he can play at the weekend."
