Albion will be up against a master craftsman when they face Jamie Vardy.

But Graham Potter says he will not be the only threat for Leicester at the Amex.

Vardy has five goals in eight games against the Seagulls in the Premier League.

He scored on hi first three visits to the Amex – but not last season, when Leicester came from behind to win 2-1.

Albion boss Potter said: “He has been one of the best there is, a Premier League winner, so it’s not surprising that Brighton have struggled with that calibre of player.

“I think he will also admit that he has good support from the attacking players around him, Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Albrighton – again, a Premier League winner.

"So they have a nice attacking balance and the midfield support it well.

“But Jamie is a master in his movement, a master of his craft, lethal in the box.

“His movement in behind is so clever, he’s tactically really intelligent.

“He’s had an amazing career and is still performing at the highest level so we know we have a huge task but that is the beauty of the game.”

Potter said he identified Vardy as one to watch from a young age.

He added: “I came back from Sweden one year and watched an FA Cup tie between Halifax and Mansfield, I think, and he was playing, before he moved to Fleetwood, so it shows you what is possible.

“He has had an amazing career in what he has come from to what he has achieved. Huge credit to him and everyone around him.”
