Michael Salisbury will referee Albion's Carabao Cup tie against Swansea.
The Preston-based official has shown red three times in his last two games.
He sent off a man from each team as Middlesbrough drew 1-1 with Blackburn in the Championship.
He then dismissed Fankaty Dabo of Coventry late in their 1-0 win over Cardiff City.
Salisbury has never previously refereed the Seagulls.
