Graham Potter is happy to trust selected members of Albion under-23s against Swansea.

A youthful team beat Cardiff in the last round and the development squad have started their season promisingly.

Head coach Potter said: “It is part of how we want to work as part of a football club.

“We have close contact with the academy, close contact with the under-23s.

“We use the guys in training, we see them intermittently, but they have their own programme.

“It is important they progress as a team with each other but whenever they come across there is an intensity, a focus, a really good attitude.

“You can see the quality they have as players.

“I think we are really delighted with how we are working in terms of the links with our academy and the game against Swansea City is a really important one for a couple of those guys to play and to be involved.

“Hopefully they can do well because that is the next step.

“It is all very well being involved, you have got to try and compete, win.”
