Tariq Lamptey's comeback has been given the thumbs-up by his Albion boss.

The right-back played the first half of the 2-0 win over Swansea City in the Carabao Cup on his return from a log absence.

Lamptey was increasingly active down his flank before making for Pascal Gross at the break.

Albion head coach Graham Potter said: "Forty-five minutes was absolutely the plan. We thought it was good for him to start the game so he had the warm-up and he knows what he is doing.

"I thought he did well. It didn’t look like it was a struggle for him but obviously we need to see how he recovers and then we will take the decision.

"He was in the squad against Leicester. He is an option off the bench. Whether he starts is probably a little bit of a step for him.
