Yves Bissouma could return to Albion's squad against Arsenal.
But head coach Graham Potter is concerned about Steven Alzate, who went off injured at Crystal Palace.
The Seagulls secured a point at Selhurst Park despite the absence of Bissouma, who has a knee injury.
He was hurt in the recent 2-1 win over Leicester.
Albion host the in-form Gunners on Saturday.
Potter said: “Bissouma is making decent progress.
“This game came a little soon for him.
“We are hopeful he can be available against Arsenal but we will have to see at the back end of the week.”
Alzate went on as sub at half-time as the Seagulls changed things tactically.
He was hurt when Andre Ayew went down dramatically looking for a free-kick, which was not awarded, and fell on him.

Potter said: “Steven looked quite a bad one.
“He rolled his ankle and somebody also landed on it.
“We will see how it goes in the next 24, 48 hours but it’s not a fantastic first diagnosis.
“Danny (Welbeck) felt his hamstring a little so again we will see over the next 48 hours how he is.”
