Graham Potter has praised Albion - on and off the pitch - for their efforts on a wet and windy night at the Amex.
The head coach felt his side dealt well with testing conditions.
And he was delighted to hear suppoterrs, many of whom would have been cold and wet as rain swirled in under the stadium roof, in great voice.
Potter said: "It wasn’t a particularly pleasant evening, that’s an understatement.
"But credit to the crowd. They were fantastic.
"The guys had real courage to play and intelligence to understand when to play.
"I thought we mixed it up well. We used the ball in behind but at the same time played when we could.
"I’m just delighted with the performance of the team."
