Kjell Scherpen is ready to get stuck into Albion life after a false start.

The goalkeeper played for Netherlands under-21s versus Wales last night.

Scherpen was ruled into for several weeks by an ankle injury soon after his arrival from Ajax.

He said: “A false start. Fortunately, the recovery went faster than expected and I was fit in time to be there again this international period.”

Scherpen is now up and running and played for Albion under-23s at Arsenal recently.
