Graham Potter believes Robert Sanchez is learning fast with club and country as he returns to the Premier League stage.

The goalkeeper is back from another camp with Spain as Albion prepare to play Norwich City today (3pm).

Sanchez will be between the sticks at Carrow Road when the Seagulls tackle their tenth league and cup fixture of the season.

It was in game ten last term that he had what initially looked a one-off outing at Tottenham.

Sanchez later took over for good in goal, leading eventually to the departure of Maty Ryan.

The Argus:

He has been busy working alongside Spain colleagues David De Gea and Unai Simon while in Milan for the UEFA Nations League final four.

Those trips add to the high level work he gets through with the Albion staff.

Albion boss Potter said: “It’s a fantastic environment for him to go into.

“It’s a different environment but it’s an amazing opportunity.

“Football changes so quickly, when you think where Rob was this time last year.

“Now he is going away with Spain and training with incredible players, incredible coaches.

“Playing or not, he will learn from the experience.

“He will be better for the experience, he will develop from the experience.

“We are delighted that he’s there.”

Albion will aim for a fourth clean sheet of the season as they take on a Norwich side targeting their first win.

That work will start in attack where Neal Maupay looks set to lead the hunt for goals – and the defend-from-the-front strategy.

Potter said: “Generally our level of defensive actions has been really high and everyone has contributed to that.

“It’s a collective mentality and we’re really happy with that.”
