CRAWLEY Town have discovered who they will take on in the first round of the FA Cup this season.

The Reds will welcome Tranmere Rovers to The People's Pension Stadium on November 6.

Crawley made it to the fourth round of the competition last season before being beaten by AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. During their run, the Reds did knock out Leeds in a famous 3-0 victory.

Tranmere hosted Crawley earlier this month and beat them 2-1 in League Two, and the Reds will be hoping the cup game goes the other way when the two meet.

This stage of the competition sees clubs from EFL Leagues One and Two enter, with the chance of being paired with the 32 non-league clubs who have progressed from the qualifying rounds.

Horsham, who play in the Isthmian League Premier Division, have managed to make it to the first round will take Carlisle United at Brunton Park. The last time Horsham made it to this stage was 13 years ago.

In that run, Horsham made it all the way to the second round, where they were drawn against Swansea City. The Hornets managed to draw the first game and force a replay at the Liberty Stadium, where they were beaten 6-2.

The Argus:

Horsham and Crawley could be rewarded with £22,629 if they are able to progress to the next round.

Premier League teams, such as Brighton and Hove Albion, enter the competition in the third round, which means Horsham are potentially just two games from facing some of the countries best players.
