Albion’s young strikers are on a scoring run – and they staged late drama last night.
The Seagulls’ under-21s kept their qualification hopes alive in the Papa John’s Trophy with a 2-1 win at Northampton.
Irish centre-forward Evan Ferguson guided home a superb equaliser from an angle after going on as sub.
Then Swiss target man Lorent Tolaj, who started the game, won it with a header right at the end.
Albion thought they should have had a penalty just before the winner as sub striker Ulrick Ella seemed to be tripped by the keeper as he went around him.
Between them Ferguson, Tolaj and Ella have accounted for Albion’s last seven goals in league and cup.
Last night's clinical finishes came at a venue many Albion fans will remember for Glenn Murray's debut and a Bas Savage moonwalk.
