Florin Andone could be on his way back to Albion.

It is understood Cadiz want to cut short his loan deal after he failed to make an impact in LaLiga Santander.

They have already started looking for a new striker to bring in during the January window.

But that could depend on them being able to return Andone.

The Romania international signed in August on a season-long loan potentially leading to a more permanent deal.

But he is out of the first team picture and did not even travel when Cadiz picked up an impressive 1-0 win at Athletic Bilbao last Friday night.

It is not known what Albion’s thoughts would be on taking him back early.

The former Deportivo La Coruna frontman is under contract at the Amex until the end of next season.

But it has been clear from early in Graham Potter’s tenure that he has no part in the head coach’s plans.

Andone arrived at Cadiz close to deadline with his qualities as an abrasive competitor in attack being highlighted and lauded.

But he has only played in three league games and never for 90 minutes.

His debut came as substitute at home to Osasuna in a game which saw his side then concede twice late on to lose 3-2.

He played the first 67 minutes of a 3-1 defeat at Rayo Vallecano.

His most recent outing was on October 26, when he joined the action on 71 minutes with his side 3-1 up at Villarreal. They eventually drew 3-3.

Andone grew up in Spain and has posted pictures on social media showing himself enjoying life with his family in Andalucia.
