Craig Pawson will take charge of Albion for the first time this season on Saturday.
The official from Sheffield has been appointed to the Premier League game versus Leeds.
His VAR will be former Australian league ref Jarred Gillett.
Pawson has a long and varied history refereeing 21 Albion games across three divisions, both cup competitions and the Championship play-offs.
It includes a win over Manchester United and a defeat by Northampton.

He took charge of Chris Hughton’s last win as Albion boss, at Crystal Palace, and Graham Potter’s first, on his debut at Watford.
