Neal Maupay has been hailed as a “big character” after he suffered an off night in front of goal.
The recalled striker helped Albion dominate much of their match at home to Leeds.
But he was off target with two good first-half chances as his side sought a breakthrough in the 0-0 draw.
Albion goalkeeper Robert Sanchez said: “He had a couple of games to rest and come back.
“I think he did a really good performance, he created a couple of chances, he did not put the ball in the net, but he will do better.
“He is a big character and player, we see him in training and all the energy he has every training session.
“He had a chance today and I think he did well.
“Obviously we started really well, we are working on it, we just need to put the ball in the net and I think we will.
“At least we are creating the chances, that is the important part, we just need to be more clinical.
Sanchez, also returning to the team, ensured Leeds did not complete the ultimate smash and grab with some late saves.

“A clean sheet and a couple of saves, can’t ask for much more.”
