ALBION manager Graham Potter has lauded midfielder Jakub Moder and has hinted that he will have a "big future".

The Polish midfielder signed for the Seagulls in 2020 from Lech Poznan in the PKO Ekstraklasa and has become a regular in the team.

Moder has made 12 appearances in the Premier League this season, assisting one goal.

The 22-year-old has a good goalscoring record in Poland and has yet to transfer that to England as he has only scored once in his 27 appearances in an Albion shirt.

On Saturday against Leeds, Moder came close on a couple of occasions to add to his goalscoring record but was let down by his shooting accuracy.

Moder's performance was very good despite not finding the back of the net as he helped Albion dominate the midfield against Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds.

His outing was so good that he has earned some high praise from Albion manager Graham Potter, who called the game his "best performance".

Potter told the media: "It was probably his best performance against Leeds.

"He took a step because he got some feedback in the week, and he responded to that.

"That tells you that he's coachable, and that tells you that he is open for feedback and that he wants to improve."

Potter was sure to remind the player that he has to maintain this level of performance and to take the chance when it comes up.

Although, the manager is confident in the player's ability and has backed him to have a good career going forward.

Potter said: "When you have that you know you have a chance. But again it is a process, and it's time, and it requires patience.

"The road is not always smooth but we are happy with him, and he has a big future."

Moder is already a regular in the Poland national team, making 18 appearances and scoring two goals, including one against England.
