ALBION striker Neal Maupay was delighted to get back amongst the goals after another of his late strikes earned his side a point against West Ham United.
The Frenchman's fifth of the season was his first since he netted in the last minute against Crystal Palace in September and he struck again in the 89th minute in the capital, with a brilliant overhead kick following a cross from Tariq Lamptey.
His goal made it 1-1 at the London Stadium deny the Hammers their first victory over the Seagulls in the Premier League.
Maupay said: "I haven't seen a replay of the goal but obviously it was an important one for the team and we're delighted.
"I have struggled a bit recently and missed a chance in the first half so I'm very happy to score that goal, it was very important for me and the team."
West Ham had led through Tomas Soucek's early header but Albion had chances to level before Maupay's dramatic intervention and he believes the way they responded to going behind so early says a lot about the squad's resolve.
The striker said: "It shows our mentality. We work hard, we never give up.
"We knew there would be downs after our good start this season - no one can be as consistent over 38 games unless you are Liverpool or Manchester City.
"But at half-time we said we had to stick together because we thought we could get something from the game and that is what happened."
