ALBION youngster Jeremy Sarmiento could miss the next three to four months of action after picking up an injury against West Ham on Wednesday.

The Ecuadorian forward limped off the pitch at the London Stadium only 11 minutes into his full Premier League debut.

The game would go on to end 1-1 after goals from Tomas Soucek and Neal Maupay.

Reporter Oscar Portilla has now reported that the youngster could miss a substantial part of the season after he required surgery on his hamstring.

He said: "Jeremy Sarmiento will be operated on today for his hamstring injury.

"The recovery will take between three or four months."

The midfielder will not be out until the new year. Solly March replaced him against the Hammers and could now come in for a start against Southampton tomorrow.
