ALBION's match against Chichester City in the Sussex Senior Cup has been postponed.

The two sides were due to play tonight in the tournament, but due to the bad weather brought by Storm Barra the pitch failed an inspection.

The pitch at Chichester City's Oaklands Park was waterlogged by heavy rainfall.

The game will now be played on another date, which is not yet been decided.

An announcement was made on Chichester City's Twitter account.

It said: "After a pitch inspection and more bad weather forecast, tonight's match against Brighton and Hove Albion has been postponed."

Andrew Crofts side were heading into the match in good form having won their last Senior Sussex Cup match 6-0 against Haywards Heath Town and their most recent Premier League 2 match against Liverpool 3-0.
