ALBION defender Dan Burn knows they will be targets of Tottenham manager Antonio Conte.

The Italian manager took over the North London side in November and has helped them recover their season after a poor start under, now sacked, Nuno Espírito Santo.

Spurs are currently fifth in the Premier League and could climb into the top four should they beat Albion on Sunday, although they would need David Moyes' West Ham to lose away at Burnley.

Burn, who will likely start the game due to Albion's injury crisis, said: “They have had a bit of a tough time, but since the new manager came in they have picked up some results.

“I'm sure they'll be looking at us and hoping that will continue.”

Burn, however, is prepared for a spirited Tottenham side, but is aware of the good record his side have against Spurs in recent matches.

Albion have won two of the last four against Spurs, including the last match between the two sides.

This came in a 1-0 win at the Amex Stadium, with Leandro Trossard scoring the only goal of the game.

Burn is hoping striker Aaron Connolly can repeat his heroics against Spurs from a couple of years ago, when he scored a brace during Albion's 3-0 win at the Amex in 2019.

Burn said: “We were talking about that in the dressing room, as Aaron Connolly always brings up that he scored two against Tottenham.

“So I'm sure we'll hear a bit more of that this week, but we’ve had some good games against them in the past.”
