Albion have told fans of THREE key changes to matchdays at the Amex as anti-Covid measures are stepped up.

They have revealed what Plan B is likely to mean from Wednesday, when Wolves visit.

Supporters will have to fill in a Covid registration form before going to the game.

A Covid Pass or proof of recent negative test will be mandatory.

And there will be a greater emphasis on the wearing of face coverings, including while at your seat.

Albion are still awaiting the finer details relating to Plan B.

But they expect three important changes, all of which will be legal requirements.

They have set them out as follows:

1. All fans aged 18 or over MUST be able to prove their vaccine status or display proof of a negative lateral flow test (taken within 48 hours of the game and shown in the form of an NHS email or text message) and show matching photographic ID. It will be against the law to grant admission to anyone unable to comply with this legal requirement.

2. Fans coming to the game must fill in a pre-match online covid registration form, which will be sent before the Wolves match. For match ticket holders (for home and away matches) this will need to be done ahead of each game they wish attend; it’s likely season-ticket holders will only need to do this once to cover the season. 1901 Club members will need to complete this declaration on behalf of their guests for each membership they own.

3. Face coverings will be required when travelling to and from the stadium on public transport and when moving around all internal areas of the stadium. The only exception will be when eating or drinking. We would also strongly recommend they’re worn inside the stadium bowl at all times.

Albion believe they are well-placed to implement the changes, which they describe as relatively straightforward but important.

They anticipate minimal inconvenience to fans’ existing matchday routine.

The club will be monitored by government officials to ensure they are complying with the rules.

They ask fans to fully read any instructions sent by the club in relation to the new rules, fill in Covid registration in good time, plan journeys carefully and arrive earlier than usual and be patient with staff while checks are carried out.
