ALBION boss Graham Potter was pleased with how Dan Burn performed against Wolves.

The defender took the armband in the absence of Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy for the match at the Amex last night.

Burn had a tough night having to face pacey runners Adama Traore, Daniel Podence and Francisco Trincao.

The 29-year-old did manage to get the better of them on occasion but was also outrun during the visitor's quick counterattacks.

Potter however saw the positives in Burns's outing and praised the effort put in by the towering defender.

He told the Argus: "It was a Dan Burn performance in terms of how much effort he put into the game.

"He stuck at it, it is difficult to play against [Adama] Traore, [Francisco] Trincão and [Daniel] Podence in terms of how they use the space really well.

"He did his best and worked hard for the team."
