Graham Potter has thanked Albion fans who got to the Amex and cheered their team to a win.

There were gaps in the stands as the Seagulls beat Brentford 2-0.

Travel problems and Covid concerns were among reasons for keeping fans away.

But those were there responded to Potter’s call for togetherness in the quest for three points.

Potter said: “I thought they were brilliant, to be honest. It has obviously taken an effort to get here because of the travel situation.

"The guys who were in the stands were fantastic throughout the game.

"They really got behind the team, helped the team, recognised when we needed them because we were suffering a bit in the second half and they really helped so a huge thank you to them for that – fantastic."
