ALBION boss Graham Potter thinks that the improvement to game management from his team has reflected the mature nature of his team.

The victory against Everton on Sunday was the Albion's fifth win this season in a match when they have scored first.

This record shows that Potter's side have improved their ability to hold onto leads compared to last season when they dropped 25 points from winning positions.

Potter told the media: "We've improved that this season which is pleasing.

"Last year people were asking me how do we improve that statistic but I said at the time it's a process.

"We've got young players who are adapting to the Premier League and are establishing their careers at a level when it isn't easy to score goals and win football matches.

"We have kept working and improving and of course, the young guys are wiser and more experienced so they're more able to deal with what happens in the game.

"We saw that at Everton. You can't control things for 90 minutes there, you can't be perfect. You've got to try and see the moments out when you have to and the guys did it well.

"I think it reflects the overall improvements we have made this season and which we want to continue to do."
