LEWES have confirmed that they are in contact with a number of clubs about promising attacker Ollie Tanner.

The 19-year-old has been linked with a move to Premier League sides Southampton, Norwich and Watford.

Lewes have been aware of scouts watching him over the season, in which he has impressed.

Tanner has scored 12 goals this season for the Isthmian League Premier Division side.

This promise has seen clubs start to contact Lewes over a deal for the youngster.

Lewes FC director, Stuart Fuller told the Argus: "We are in contact with a number of clubs that have inquired about Ollie Tanner and are aware that some clubs have been watching him this season.

"Ollie is a Lewes player and if that changes we will let everyone know.

"Any injuries permitting we expect him to start in the game against Merstham on Saturday."

Tanner signed a two-year deal back in November which will ensure a fee is received if he was to move to a new club.

The forward is a former Arsenal and Charlton youth product, he then moved to National League Bromley's academy before joining Lewes in August last year.
