Antef Tsoungui is delighted he has been has been given extra time in which to prove himself.
The 19-year-old Albion defender has signed a contract extension that runs until 2023.
He will miss most of the rest of this season through injury.
Tsoungui, a Belgium youth international who was raised in Crawley, said: “This contract is something I’ve really wanted to get done as there are a lot of opportunities for young players at this club.
“I got to make my first-team debut, I want to experience playing in the first team, or out on loan in the future.
“It’s good to know that the club have faith in me and I cannot wait to get back to full fitness."
Tsoungui made his senior debut in the Carabao Cup win at Cardiff early this season.
