MARC Cucurella has been praised by teammate Dan Burn for the way he has adapted to the Premier League.

The Spaniard joined Albion in the summer from La Liga side Getafe and has become one of the standout players at the club.

Cucurella has already played 96 per cent of Premier League minutes available to him.

His ability to play up and down the wing for the entirety of matches is impressive, especially as he uses his rapid speed to get back and clear any danger that has been missed by the centre backs.

The wing-back has also chipped in with one assist which came against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Cucurella crossed the ball for Danny Welbeck who headed home a dramatic late equaliser for Albion.

The 23-year-old former Barcelona and La Masia youth academy product plays as the left-wing-back which was a position that Burn had become a regular fixture at last season.

He said: “Marc Cucurella coming in and I think he has been amazing, technically he is very good but I was also surprised how good physically he is at getting up and down the pitch.

“He has been a great signing. I have not needed to give him any tips about playing left wing-back.

“I think we try to pass on little bits of information that will help him in the long run.

“He has adapted to the league really well.”
