Sussex have announced their fixtures for the 2022 season.

It all gets under way on Thursday, April 7.

The county open at home to Nottinghamshire at the start of a six-match block of Championship matches.

The Argus:

Late May and the whole of June are dominated by the Vitality Blast T20.

That will also be the case in the first half of July for counties who make progress.

Blast Finals day this year is on July 16 rather than at the end of the season.

There are three Championship matches in July, including Leicestershire’s visit to Hove and trips to Lord’s and Trent Bridge.

August is all about 50-overs cricket and includes four matches at Hove.

Sussex have three Championship games in September, at home to Worcestershire and Glamorgan either side of the trek to Durham.

The first cricket action at Hove is little more than two months away.

Surrey visit for a three-day friendly from March 23, followed by Durham UCCE the following week.
