Billy Reid expects to be in constant touch with Graham Potter as he takes the Albion reins.

But he is confident the boss’s absence will not disrupt preparation.

Reid takes charge as the Seagulls visit Leicester City tomorrow (2pm).

Potter is isolating at home after testing positive for Covid.

Reid was due to discuss selection and strategy with Potter last night.

The gameplan will be put into operation on the training pitch today.

Reid said: “We are pretty consistent at the moment.

“We are having chats, what formation and how we want to go against Leicester.”

Potter felt unwell on Thursday night and went straight home after his positive test yesterday morning.

Reid said: “At the moment I’m not too sure how it is going to work but I’m quite sure Graham will be in communication with us in the hotel, on the bench.

“I think we will have a line straight into his house.

“We expect Graham to be highly involved in the structure of the game.”

Potter twice missed matches when he was working with Reid at Ostersunds in Sweden.

But tomorrow’s absence will be a first for him since moving to Swansea and then Albion.

Reid said: “I’m quite sure sitting in your own home to being on the touchline is a big, big difference but hopefully we do him proud.”
